Holbox Earrings
A jewel that marked the beginning of Evivid.
She didn’t usually wear earrings, so finding something that matched her style—and suited such a special moment as her wedding—was no easy task. She sought my advice, showed me designs… but none conveyed what they needed to. None truly spoke of her.
I realized that this moment demanded something unique. I knew who she was, what that day meant to her, and everything she wanted to reflect. I understood I could create something that would tell her story better than any existing design.
Her wedding was set on Holbox Island—magical, natural, authentic. So every material choice had to be intentional. I designed detachable earrings in white gold, a metal that casts a subtle glow, perfect for her understated elegance. I wanted her to wear them long after the wedding, so I added studs: simple, comfortable pieces for everyday wear. I chose blue sapphires for these, matching the deep, serene, and magnetic hue of her eyes—a shade impossible to ignore. Then I suspended baroque pearls beneath them, celebrating their organic, imperfect beauty, as unique as every lived moment. No two are alike, just as no two emotions are identical.
I wanted the earrings to embody character and natural grace—elegant and versatile above all, accompanying her harmoniously without stealing the spotlight, yet leaving an indelible mark.
And when she stepped onto the beach, between breeze, light, and emotion, we all knew: the earrings weren’t worn on her… they were part of her. An extension of her essence. Of her tranquil beauty. Of her way of being in the world.
I called them Holbox Earrings because everything in them springs from that place and that connection. They are more than a jewel: they reflect an authentic person in an authentic moment. And they marked a turning point for me—the first design I created from scratch with the purpose of telling a story—hers. And, unknowingly, mine as well. Because that’s when I realized my path: to unite the physical with the emotional. To craft unique pieces with soul and intent.
That’s how it all began.
That’s how Evivid was born.
